My blog expands on my journey with criminal justice reform through reflections on my advocacy work. For instance, I discuss interviewing Columbia Professor Geraldine Downey about her work helping incarcerated people earn college degrees and balancing rehabilitation with accountability. I also describe the experience of being featured in Bedford & New Canaan Magazine’s 18Under18 project as the Compassionate Crusader for my work with the Innocence Project. And I reflect on organizing an event at Fieldston with Jason Flom and Gary Benloss, whose story of being wrongfully imprisoned for 23 years deeply moved my peers and me. Through my blog, I hope to inspire others to join the fight for justice and equality.
